McMillan Discusses New HMP Inverclyde With Scottish Prison Service

Stuart McMillan MSP has met with the Scottish Prison Services to discuss proposals for the new HMP Inverclyde.

Stuart said:

"I had a helpful discussion with representatives of the Scottish Prison Service (SPS) where we discussed the new HMP Inverclyde.

"I was made aware that SPS haven't finalised a location for the new prison but they are looking at a host of sites throughout Inverclyde and are working in conjunction with Inverclyde Council.

"I did ask about full public consultation and it was confirmed that this will take place in due course."
