McMillan Supports Commonwealth Games Team

Stuart has lodged the following motion in the Scottish Parliament supporting the Scottish Commonwealth Games team that will be competing in Delhi in October.

Short title: Scotland's Commonwealth Games Hopefuls

S3M-06848 Stuart McMillan (West of Scotland) (SNP): That the Parliament wishes the Scottish Commonwealth Games team, announced this week, the best of luck and expresses the Parliament’s full support to the team; considers the games in Delhi in October 2010 will provide an excellent platform to promote sport in Scotland; acknowledges that the athletes have all been chosen for their hard work and dedication to their sports; hopes that a team full of such potential can inspire more people to take up sport in Scotland, and further notes the games will pave the way for the event taking place in Glasgow in 2014.
