McMillan Congratulates Friends of Wemyss Bay Station

Stuart McMillan MSP, (SNP) has today (Monday) lodged a motion of support in the Scottish Parliament to congratulate the Friends of Wemyss Bay Station for receiving the Best Station Adoption Group at the recent ACoRP Community Rail Awards ceremony held at Cliffs Pavilion, Westcliff-on-Sea.

Mr McMillan said;

"I was pleased to hear the news from the Friends of Wemyss Bay Station they had scooped the Best Station Adoption Group award at the recent ACoRP Rail Awards.

"I know from visiting the station on a number of occasions and meeting with the Friends that they have taken a lot of pride in renovating the station and creating a pleasant environment for commuters and tourists.

"Therefore, I was delighted to lodge a motion of support in the Scottish Parliament to make all MSP's aware of their achievements."
