McMillan Raises Renewable Jobs for Inverclyde with Minister for Energy

Stuart McMillan MSP, (SNP) has raised the issue of bringing renewable jobs to Inverclyde with the Minister for Energy during General Question Time in the Scottish Parliament.

Mr McMillan has recently written to the Minister to promote Inverclyde as a renewable hub and to make him aware of organisations such as Jenda Energy and 20/20 Renewables who are both based at Clyde View, Riverside Business Park, Greenock.

Mr McMillan said;

"The Minister for Energy is aware of my interest in bringing renewable jobs to Inverclyde and promoting the area.

"This is why I raised the issue with him, in the Parliament, in the hope of receiving assurances that places such as Inverclyde will not be omitted from any new renewable jobs coming to Scotland

"Therefore, I was pleased with the Minister's response and that he encourages Inverclyde to make their presence felt regarding renewables. I was also delighted that he indicated his willingness to travel to Inverclyde to meet with renewable organisations."
