McMillan Wears is Pink for Breast Cancer Campaign

Stuart McMillan MSP, (SNP) has joined forces with Breast Cancer Campaign to raise awareness of their annual ‘wear it pink day’ in association with Vanish.

On Friday 29 October 2010 supporters in schools, colleges and businesses throughout the country are encouraged to don an item of pink in support of Campaign and each donate £2 to fund innovative world-class breast cancer research.

Last year over one million people took part in ‘wear it pink’ to help improve survival rates for the one in nine women who experience breast cancer during their lifetime.

Mr. McMillan said;

"I support wear it pink every year as I know the fantastic effect the campaign has on raising awareness of breast cancer research.

"With over 38,000 women and 150 men estimated to be alive in Scotland who have been diagnosed with breast cancer it is well worth supporting this campaign.

"I would encourage everyone in Inverclyde to don something pink on 29 October and raise money for this extremely worthwhile cause.

"Taking part couldn’t be easier, just visit http://www.blogger.com/www.wearitpink.co.uk or phone 0800 107 3104 and register. I wish everyone taking part the best of luck."
