McMillan Welcomes HMIe Reports for East Dunbartonshire Schools

Stuart McMillan MSP, (SNP) has today (Tuesday) welcomed the publication of reports by HM Inspectorate of Education (HMIe) that praise two schools in East Dunbartonshire.

The reports relate to Oxgang Primary School and Turnbull High School. Oxgang Primary received four 'very good' evaluations and one 'excellent' evaluation. Turnbull High received three 'very good' evaluations and two 'excellent' evaluations.

Mr McMillan said;

"I feel its important to recognise when a school receives a positive report from HMIe.

"I have written to both Oxgang Primary and Turnbull High to praise them on their positive reports and have also lodged a motion of support in the Scottish Parliament.

"A great deal of credit goes to all staff members for their hard work and dedication which is evident by their respective schools receiving such a report.

"Therefore, I hope this report will allow the schools to go from strength to strength in the future."
