McMillan Writes to Council Regarding Equal Pay Disputes

Stuart McMillan MSP, (SNP) has today written to the Chief Executive of East Dunbartonshire Council asking for information under the Freedom of Information Scotland Act 2002 regarding Equal Pay disputes.

Mr McMillan has been contacted by a number of Council employees who are demanding answers from East Dunbartonshire Council to equal pay disputes.

Mr McMillan said;

"I have been contacted by a number of East Dunbartonshire Council eployees who are anxious to know what the Council is doing regarding equal pay disputes.

"Therefore, I felt it was important to write to the Council and establish what funding they have borrowed to meet equal pay settlements and which employees will receive funding in connection with equal pay disputes.

"I hope I will receive the answers, from East Dunbartonshire Council, which I can relay to my constituents and make them aware that action is being taken regarding any pay disputes."
