MSP Praises Work of Royal Mail Staff

Stuart McMillan MSP, (SNP) has praised the work of Royal Mail staff during a recent visit to the Inverclyde Delivery Office.

Mr McMillan had been invited to tour the Greenock depot to see, first-hand, how staff were dealing with the Christmas delivery rush and also coping with the current adverse weather conditions.

Mr McMillan said;

"I'm full of praise for the commitment and effort of all the Royal Mail staff at the Greenock depot.

"Witnessing the sheer volume of mail and parcels at the depot put it into perspective the amount of work these people undertake in making deliveries throughout Inverclyde and beyond.

"The adverse weather conditions are making their job much tougher but speaking to some of the workers I was in no doubt that they are committed to making their deliveries.

"I wish them all every success for the future."
