McMillan Welcomes Funding Boost for Barony Chambers, Kirkintilloch


Stuart McMillan MSP, (SNP West of Scotland) has today (Wednesday) welcomed the news that East Dunbartonshire Council is to receive £5,500
for essential repairs to Barony Chambers, Kirkintilloch. The Heritage Project is to benefit from grants announced by Culture Minister Michael Russell MSP.

Mr McMillan said;

"I am delighted to hear the news that Barony Chambers, Kirkintilloch has been chosen to receive funding from Historic Scotland’s Building Repairs Grants.

"It's important that such a landmark building is brought back to former glories and recognised for the cultural significance that it plays in Kirkintilloch.

"I look forward to seeing the essential repair work being carried out which will show the Barony Chambers in all its splendour."
